Water quality #1
Hi all

I’m having issues with my water quality. My water keeps going from cloudy to green to a cloudy brown. I test the water every other day. My ammonia levels are none existent, ph is fine and nitrate levels are a little high but coming down steadily. I’ve changed my filters to fine filters. But activated carbon in the water and have also tried all sorts of chemicals nothing is clearing the water and I don’t know what else to do. I don’t know if my pump is strong enough it’s the hose lock 3000. So I’m looking into getting and external filter as well

Re: Water quality #2
If nothing is wrong with the readings I'd suggest a UV steriliser which should kill the floating algae that causes this.

Emmahh1995, what have you got regards filtration now?
You say you have a hoselock 3000, how big is your pond (roughly L x w x D)

Not sure a new bike will be a problem.

Are you sure? Its just that if it is 1m x 1m and holds 500L it can only be 50cm wide. It is important in respect of pump and filter size.
What make/ model of filter have you and do you have a UV?
