Just sods law I think. You now have a choice, keep moving it about until you're happy or fed up enough to accept it.... or wait 12-18 months for things to settle and grow into their new position

Tell me about it , I don't own a marine tank anymore, it belongs to Coral and Marlin my clownfish...

Know what you mean about the rock, currently the most annoying thing for me is, choosing a coral, you just know will look perfect in a particular spot, getting it home and you realise the corals look smaller in the shop display tanks and it won't fit at all, subsequent moving of your entire display of live rock to get a position for it that looks half decent...

Took me about two hours of fidgeting with the rock when I first got it to make it look how I wanted... Not again... Never...

lol, i havent dared touch the rocks, i need to really as there is a big bad eunicid worm in my tank, first saw it about 2and a half years ago, its now starting to eat chunks out of corals.. but if i move the rocks.. i wont ever get them back like they are, in fact id probaly have to smash the big rocks to find the worm... a good opportunity to upgrade while im emptying the tank.. ;lol: id like a slightly wider tank.. maybe a bowfront one, although they scare me.. so maybe just a 'normal' one - i'll have to convince boyf... lol!

How do you get them? How do they just turn up? Would it be from eggs already laid in the coral or something?
