Re: Angel eggs #7
so , the first night is over with and all seems fine a few eggs have dissapered and maby 7-10 have turned white but the rest seem normal, (not that I know what normal is) the perants seem attentive defending from a coupple of otos that are in there also and often fanning them, i have coverd the tank so will see how it goes, water paramiters havent changed and i will leave them to it for now, I am hopeful but i dont want to get too excited incase it dosent work. I am hoping that it does as i would like to try raising them

Angel eggs #8
novice to this so here goes, I have two angel fish who I had presumed to be both male as noe they are getting older they both have the (tuberculs??) (little pipes behind the anus which i thought to mean they were male) they have been ripping eachother to shreds for months and nwas trying to find new homes for them, anyways i decided to give the tank an overhaul, undergravel air curtain and X2 new pumps a small rena 40 and a larger rena 150 both with crystal filters new gravel + plants and removal of some large bogwood. 1 of the plants i bought was a anubias and for the las few days they have seemed to be defending it and low and behold today i wached as the smaller of the 2 deposited a selection of eggs and after each 10 or 20 the larger black one would 'appear' to do his thing?? so what do i do? strangely enough I bought a nursery last week but that was more for some platys! the new filter has a venturi system and makes a tone of bubbles so should turn it off? it is pointing right in line with the plant. as you can tell im EXCITED!! lol

note, readings are fine, am 0 ni 0 na 10 ph 7.5. the old pump is still running and i will leave it there i think as i dont know if the new ones will be ready to take over yet.

Re: 25ltr tank upgrading to 54ltr transfer advice? #9
congrats on the upgrade they should be much happier in their new home! if you want to add a few new fish especialy if your tetras have been alone for a long time i would do a full tank cycle (speeded up with the old media) and leave your small tank as a quarintine tank for your new fish that way you are safe and wont bring in anything unsupected from the lfs

Re: 25ltr tank upgrading to 54ltr transfer advice? #10
if you are setting it up straight away, then thats the best way to do it water and filter across, and obviously top up with treated water, but if it was me, and i was having no problems with the 1st tank i would start from scratch, but with squeasing the old filter media into the new sponge. that way if you do have any problems you know your fish are safe. What are you keeping?
