Re: pond strip down and clean #2
i do ongoing maintenance as a matter of course but fancied a spring clean i use an oase vac as well but my lilies have covered nearly all the surface area this year so i didn't fancy disturbing them till they'd died back

Are you (the reader) thinking what I am thinking? (But having trouble putting it into words)

Answers on a post card please.

what exactly were you thinking 2010 because no one seems to know

Re: Oase pump dead again #6
Unfortunately I can't check to see if there's new posts every day but all responses are appreciated I was just checking before shelling out another £450 on an oase pump just incase there were alternatives because if I spend £450 for a pump that will last 5 year minimum with the warranty that's £90 a year cost just for the pump as opposed to one that costs £120 and lasts 3 year minimum with the warranty

Re: Oase pump dead again #8
No had the full warranty it was just the fact the first pump lasted 3 and a half years and the replacement only lasted about 2 years which seems quite poor for a premium product

Re: Oase pump dead again #9
Oase said no it's out of warranty so I'm on the look out for another pump that will do 16000 lph there's no point paying extra for oase if the reliability is not there the service is good but they have some on eBay at less than half that price with a 3 year warranty can anyone recommend any

Oase pump dead again #10
Can't believe it I came out yesterday morning to find my oase aquamax 16000 had stopped working after much fiddling I checked the impeller to find that some grit must have gotten in as nearly all the plastic coating was gone I took it to my local dealer who had never seen that before but the main thing is this pump was a replacement for one that packed up in July last year are oase having a quality problem or I'm I just unlucky I'll call them on Tuesday to find out
