Oase pump dead again #1
Can't believe it I came out yesterday morning to find my oase aquamax 16000 had stopped working after much fiddling I checked the impeller to find that some grit must have gotten in as nearly all the plastic coating was gone I took it to my local dealer who had never seen that before but the main thing is this pump was a replacement for one that packed up in July last year are oase having a quality problem or I'm I just unlucky I'll call them on Tuesday to find out

Today is Tuesday................
Good quality costs. Bear this in mind before you start.

Sorry if my reply is NOT want you want to hear, but what I have said is true.

We can only go by what you type.

A "thank you" costs nothing, but goes a long way.

Oase said no it's out of warranty so I'm on the look out for another pump that will do 16000 lph there's no point paying extra for oase if the reliability is not there the service is good but they have some on eBay at less than half that price with a 3 year warranty can anyone recommend any

Re: Oase pump dead again #5
I presume you never filled in the registration card? as that would mean you get 5 year warranty on it (But after 5 years, that's it)

Re: Oase pump dead again #6
No had the full warranty it was just the fact the first pump lasted 3 and a half years and the replacement only lasted about 2 years which seems quite poor for a premium product

Oh.
as you said it sounds like a small stone got in by the impeller. But it might not have been a stone, two things rubbing against each other for some time, something must give.

Shouldn't the warranty start from when you got the replacement pump?

It's normal for a replacement for any item during warranty to only have the remainder of the original warranty applied. If something with a 5 year warranty fails after three years, the replacement is only guaranteed for the remaining two years of the original warranty.
