Where to buy corals #1
Hi,
Does anyone know of any good LFS that sell soft corals in the Portsmouth area?
I've found a couple of shops but the choice seems a bit limited.
Thanks

I'm afraid not. The only one I recommend from my area is Porton near Salisbury but a bit of a drive for you. They are also good at getting in things you want, especially if they know you are travelling a way to see them. Hopefully someone else will have ideas for you. Have a look at ebay too??

never buy coral off ebay, you'll never be sure of size/quality, or even how well they'd pack it

you could try buying/trading for frags with people

Re: Where to buy corals #4
thanks for the replies.
Thats the problem I dont want to buy what I cant see and choose, same with fish. I have only had my tank up and running for 2 months so swapping frags is out of the question, although I wouldnt know where to start if I could. Who/where would I buy frags from?

There used to be a good fish shop in Totton, which did marine, tropical and freshwater. Haven't been there for a good while though, but might be worth a look, if you can bear going near Soton as a Portsmouth dweller

Re: Where to buy corals #8
frags are corals that have been fragmented into small pieces eithe deliberately or accidently and its the only real future for the coral reefs and this hobby
