comments on external filters #1
I am considering buying an Eheim external filter.
Either the Proffesional II or the Wet/Dry. Both of these could be bought with a thermometer and heater.
To add the heater to each unit ups the price by £90.
Has any one got any comments on comparing the Proff II against the Wet/Dry?
Is it really worth £90 to have a heater in the filter and not a cheaper one in the tank?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Re: comments on external filters #2
hi callum-i run the pro 2 and the pro without heater-(picy of tank showing filters in photo gallery-tropical section-in hazzys pics)-at the time i was undesided with or without heater in filter-so went for both-not had any probs with either one-less unsitely in ya tank without heater-nice visible thermostat with heater-if i had the choice again i would go for the pro 2 with heater for both-just for unsitely heaters out of tank-the heaters themselves are more like a kettle element and very robust-easily replaceable-both been in 2 years now -so the choice is yours-cant get better in my opinion which ever you go for

just as i find it

take care brian
