How does one feed the fish with garlic and does the wtaer not smell? Read on one of the forums about liquid garlic. Is it available at the lfs and can it be given to goldfish and tropicals? What are the benefits of feeding them garlic?

I usually squeeze out a bit of juice when I'm pressing garlic and mix it in with the fish's food. They love it when I give them garlicky carrots

It helps boosts their immune system and it helps fend off a few parasites too.

Can it be used to fend off vampire batfish?

Bought a new fish at the weekend, when i got home and opened the bag the garlic smell nearly made me fall over!!

OMG! You've heard of the vampire batfish too?!?!?!?!?!? I want one so bad... but the nocturnal vision goggles are Soooo expensive and I wouldn't ever be able to admire it with out them (you have to keep the batfish in absolute darkness or they burn to death)...

But that is interesting about feeding fish garlic.

I have given our goldfish garlic once and never again!

I have a jar of minced garlic that I keep in the fridge so I gave them a broccoli floret dipped in the juice.

They went mad for it but the water absolutely reaked so I had to do a 70% water change the next day.

Sorry fishes but you aren'g getting that again.
