Hi everyone just want some advice I have a 23 gallon tank with what I believe is a fantail gold fish around 7inch is the tank to small?

Yes - around 180 litres, 3ft long would be more appropriate

Hi Sadie, Looks like a comet goldfish and a good size too as for tank size the bigger the better with plenty of room to swim up and down so would recommend at least 4ft long if possible, single tails are best kept in ponds really due to their potential size with company so you could always get him a rescue friend

Thanks for the advice unfortunately I can’t buy another tank for him to go into have you any recommendations for him?
