Keeping Angel Fish with Discus in a community Tank #1
Hi all I am looking for recommendation in keeping Angel Fish in with my Discus Fish.
I have not bought them yet so how many would you say ?.
I have 8 Discus around 4 inches also other compatible tropical fish with them, I have a 5ft x 2ft x 15 inches, 370 litres the tank is well planted.
All my tests are spot on and my Temp is 86f.
Please can you let me know.

Whilst some manage to keep Angels successfully with Discus it's not recommended. This is because Angels can carry diseases that do not affect them but will cause serious problems for the Discus and because Angels are generally more aggressive which can cause the Discus to be stressed. Additionally the Angels' greedy feeding in combination with their aggression can mean the Discus don't get enough food. Also with 8 Discus in the tank, there isn't really room for more large fish.

All cichlids get really aggressive when they're breeding. And big fish fight never turns out pretty
