Poorly koi - please help! #1
Hi everyone, I'm having a bit of trouble with my koi.
He had a bit of an ordeal about 2 weeks ago when he jumped out of the pond and was found on the grass. We have no idea how long he was there. At first he was just sinking, but we managed to get him swimming again by himself in the pond. He now tends to stick the bottom corner of the pond now and doesn't move a lot, but will swim off when poked.
Aside from being quiet and not moving much, he doesn't look in great condition either. Can anyone hazard a guess at what might be wrong with him?
Thanks.

PS is it just dirt from the bottom of the pond? I have just cleaned the filter pads/sponges and done a partial water change, unfortunately I don't know a lot about ponds as it was my dad's who recently passed away. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome EllisG14, Koi are not the easiest of fish to keep and really need dedicated advice, to that ends I would suggest you get in touch with the British Koi Keepers Society which you can find if you Click here
Good quality costs. Bear this in mind before you start.

Sorry if my reply is NOT want you want to hear, but what I have said is true.

We can only go by what you type.

A "thank you" costs nothing, but goes a long way.
