Red cherry shrimps are dying #1
Hi! My shrimps seem to be dying. It's not a wipe out but sometimes (about once a week) I can see a shrimp weakened and die after about 24 hours later. I've had this problem before and I assumed it was due to genetic problem of close-breeding. I introduced new shrimps and then the population rocketed up again last time. The last time I added new shrimps was between January and February this year with 5 shrimp.

My water readings is all normal. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite and very low nitrate. pH is 7.

Is its time to add new shrimps yet? I've been using low quality fish food to feed the shrimp too. This clearly make the shrimps reproduce slower than using high quality shrimp food.
