cichlid ident please #1
is it some kind of texas cichlid

Possibly, but clearer pics are needed plus approximate age/size of fish. It could be a true Texas cichlid (Herichthys cyanoguttatus) or possibly a Pearscale (Herichthys carpintis) or a hybrid of either of the above with various other species'. Texas cichlid is used incorrectly for a number of related species' and hybrids thereof and sometimes completely different species' turn up mislabelled as Texas cichlids as well, unfortunately.

hi fishlady i got 5 of these today biggest is 2and a half inch and smallest is just over 1inch , they are in with my other american cichlids and dont seem nasty towards each other Ill up load a better pic tomorow

Can you tell us what species this is please? Also what else is in the tank?
