kuhli loach and malawis is it possible #1
i have a two foot tropical tank with tetras in, i also have a six foot tank with 9 malawis in ( auratus, yellow labs, venustus) can i add kuhli loaches to the malawi tank or are they for comunity tanks only

Hi,
no, kuhlis will not be happy with the Malawis, water should be a lot harder and more alkaline than they need. Kuhlis would be happier with the tetra, best kept with smaller sociable fish in general.
I have some, they live with my female fighting fish. Very cute little fish, very active!

i wanted to know as my 7yr old wants red tailed sharks and silver sharks and ive kinda said no here have some of these friendly fellas instead, and my local fish shop has actually got some in but i just wanted to be clear on where they were going, thanks coralline

The only fish you can keep with those from Lake Malawi are others from that lake to be honest, and even then it's best to keep either Mbuna or Haps rather than mixing them.
