If it's evaded being snacked on so far I think it's going to be fine It's fascinating watching them change as they grow though, one of mine started out as a tiny little brown short-tailed fantail and is now orange and white with a huge floppy tail!

Thanks Will be interesting to hear what yours turns into I had a few singletail 'babies' from last summer, still got two of them. One was almost black when a baby so I called him The Dark One, he went white after a year! The others changed colours at different times, two stayed orange, two went white (although went orange first) and one is orange with a white patch on her tail. i thought the latter would stay brown as she was the last to change colour and she really took her time about it!

Suey2, that is a nice fantail.

I've only ever had one fantail and that was in a pond, it was a rescue. It did surprisingly well.

hope you dont mind but cant find my way round not good at computers my gold fish seemed to stop feeding a few weeks ago as it got colder so i asumed that would be the end of feding for winter.Oh no tem.5.4 now on top looking for food so i put a little in gone in seconds so for the last few days they all ocme to top and eat flakes and pond stick do you think this is ok.
