Caterpillar? #1
So I have another unexpected tank guest. This time it is a very small white/yellow caterpillar, which turns more orange at its head and tail. I saw it on a plant this morning on my way out to work and now it's nowhere to be seen.

I am hoping a caterpillar is a lot less scary than a dragonfly larvae? Please tell me it's nothing to worry about....

Any chance of a pic? Not likely to be a caterpillar tbh, it sounds more like a leech.

It is nowhere to be seen now. if I see it again I'll definitely take a photo. I just hoped my description would ring some bells!

It didn't look like a leech. It had no really obvious legs though and with the water current from the filter it did seem like it was a little difficult to hang on to the leaf. There is also a leaf that looks like it has had a bite taken out of it.

Will keep my eyes peeled. Hopefully it'll just be a tasty source of food for my fish when I get them!

There aren't many truly aquatic caterpillars, but it's possible as there are some moth species' whose larvae are aquatic. Have a look at these images and see if you can find a match.

I think this may have been a centipede larva. I discovered a centipede scurrying out of my gravel vacuum after my water change yesterday. Never knew you could get aquatic ones!
