common plec in a pond ????? #1
i recently went to an aquatics that sold lots of koi, goldfish, comets, orfes etc and in each tank there was what looked to be a HUGE plec brown with a speckled white tiny spots over them, although these were cold water tanks they were indoors can anyone tell me what they may be and if so would they survive in a pond?

It really needs a picture to answer your question. If I were you I would ask on the next visit, or phone and ask.
Good quality costs. Bear this in mind before you start.

Sorry if my reply is NOT want you want to hear, but what I have said is true.

We can only go by what you type.

A "thank you" costs nothing, but goes a long way.

If they are any of the larger common plecs they won't survive outdoors in a pond. They may well survive an unheated indoor pond, but not really ideal.

Any chance it's a starlet? That's the only non-pleccy thing I can think of that might look a bit pleccy and could conceivably be in a cooler water set up?
