changing heaters #1

Hi
This might be a stupid question, by if i want to change the heater in my tropical tank which is the best way to do it? Do i just take the old one out and put new in?

Note to self: must not buy anymore tanks

Yes, but keep a close eye on the tank temp, may take some tweaking,
