shrimp question #1
I might be getting a hand me down shrimp tank. Would it be ok to instant cycle with media from my other tank? Ive heard that shrimp can be quite sensitive.

Have you got the tank now? Do you know how big is it anything about 30L+ should be suitable for healthy shrimp (Smaller volumes of water are harder to maintain in a sustainable mannor because the toxic bio-waste will be more concentrated killing the shrimp with no warnings just when you just getting into it.)

Its 35l

Unfortunately on the way to collect the tank I got a phone call from my Mum about a family situation. I have spent almost every spare moment since then either at my Mums or Grandads and havnt had time to do much with the tank.

I am hoping to stock it on sunday.

Grandads as well as can be expected, the phone call was to tell me that my Grandma had died earlier that afternoon.

Fish are definitely a good distraction though. The paradise fish fry are almost 3cm long and getting really fat.
