Please help identify my fish #1
Hi, I need a little help identifing a fish that i have found myself with, any help anyone can give would be very much appreciated.
I moved into a new house that had a fish pond, the agreement with the previous owners was that they would remove the fish so i could remove the pond, we have cats and i didnt want a drowned cat on my hands lol
We drained the fish pond 4 times over 2 months, the rain kept re filling it, i finally removed it and in the muddy water in the bottom after removing the liner we found a small fish, still alive, i put him in a bucket to start with and he was still full of life, we got him a small tank first of all as we didnt know what we would do with him, due to his ordeal we named him Lucky, which i thought was quite fitting as most fish die shortly after bringing them home and he survived all this, due to this i have built quite a respect for his battle for life,
We have just bought him a new 65 liter tank which is much bigger than his original 20 ltr one as we now are going to keep him. I just want to know what type of fish he is, doesnt look like an ordinary goldfish.

He reminds me of sueys fish howie! (or is it just me?)

I'd say he was just a common goldie but I may just be saying that cause I think he looks like howie

Spooky! It's Howie's long lost cousin! Seriously though, Miss P is right, that there is a common goldfish Ideally it needs to be in a pond as it will get big (it looks quite big now?) or else a very large tank, 4 foot minimum Are you able to contact the previous owners and see what they did with the other fish?
