i have read somewhere that you can put pond clay in your pond to make the water clearer does anyone know anything about this or anyone ever used it???
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing!!!

As I recall (and I may be wrong) there is/was a product you can put in your pond that clears murky water. It doesn’t clear green water just murky water.
The problem with it is, it doesn't actually remove the particles causing the "murk". It just coagulates it, making it denser, so it just sinks. So instead of having a murky pond you have a clear pond with a load of "murk" on the bottom of the pond. It solves the problem, not the cause. Its for this reason its not that popular.

What sort of murk is it? The chap who adopted naughty Winston from me swears by barley straw to clear up green water in his pond - any help?
