algae new tank (nano) #1
tks for the help so far
my tank is two weeks old with just living rock
the water is perfect according to my local fish shop (not the chippy)
however i have noticed an algae buildup occurring (green) on the glass
is this normal and if so how can i combat it
any help greatly appreciated

Yes it's normal, all you need is a glass magnet cleaner or for that matter any type of glass cleaner i.e. scouring pad, tooth brush etc. just be carefull not to scratch the glass.Just out of coriosity your tank is not positioned near a window by any chance!as this wiil not help you either. Also how long are you keeping your lights on that can be a factor as well.

The bottom line is it's all part of your housekeeping with your tank to be under taken with the rest of the work,enjoy it don't treat it as a chore.
