Adding new fish to pond #1
Hi
I have a pond 3 x 2 metres and 0.6 metre deep.
It is well established with plants and has a fountain and waterfall. Water quality tests fine and finally seem to have (no doubt temporarily) won the war on blanket weed.
At present it has only 5 small fish in it - 2 comets,a goldfish, a blond goldfish and a shubunkin.
Can I add larger fish e.g. larger goldfish and golden orfe or will this upset the smaller fish?
Would it be better to add more small fish?

Hi,

Welcome to the site

You are normaly fine to mix sizes, you just need to make sure they are all feeding and the big ones arent getting all the food

Thanks for that - I'll be brave and add a couple of bigger new ones.

Re: Adding new fish to pond #4
Hi,

How can I make sure that the small ones can eat too? The old ones are so fast.
I have tried to feed in different places of the pond but the old ones are the first to be there too.
