I might email them for a bit more information. Like how it works and what it's made from. Looks too much like alien technology to me..

Err slightly off on a tangent here but at work I use fabrics to make blinds which are impregnated with silver, the silver has an effect on bacteria such as MRSA etc so it could be working along the same lines…maybe!

Is there a tank size restriction on the size of the unit, or is it one size fits all? be good to see how it goes Flapping. I will keep an eye on your results. If it works I will put one in my 6foot planted tank.

Is this the same silver that also keeps Werewolves at bay and all that, and that's a myth as well, oh cynical me.

Could be JB, could be. I wonder if it kills Cyanobacteria aswell?

I will see what they come back with from the email. If it sounds good i'll order one and try it. Ive got hair algae in my Cichlid tank so it will be a good trial for it.

I'll try it out on the Essex werewolves too.

Bit more info on Biocote.

Jag, it will be one size fits all

Edit// the product is just a gimmick just chuck a silver ring in the tank, thats all it is (silver), there is nothing specially added to the medal.

I really want to try it! It might have to be pure silver though mighten it that has never had any cleaning chemicals used on it? Or it could be a danger to the fish.

Re: What the?? #10
Yep it has to be solid silver.

Edit// the silver doesnt kill the bacteria it stops it from reproducing so it may take a while.
