axolotl #1
i wonder if any one can help me.... i have 3 axolotl's in 1 tank, iv had them for a year but recently 1 of them has started to attack 1 of the other one's, it now has only 1 leg and seems to be picked on by the same 1 each time.
so do i now put the injured 1 in a new tank on its own?
please help
many thanks :)

Re: axolotl #2
Could you tell us how big the tank is and how old they are?

Also do you carry out water peramiter checks for Ammonia and Nitrite?

It's possible that they have reached sexual maturity and they are both males.

They reach maturity at 18-24 months, so it is indeed likely that they aren't getting along because they are both male.

Have they got favourite positions in the tank? You might be able to stop it with some inventive tank re-organisation, but I think 3 foot might be a little small for two males. I'm not sure if this is normal behaviour though so it's worth waiting to see if someone more experienced comes along

There's a care sheet her if you haven't spotted it already

http://www.fishkeeping.co.uk/modules/ ... esheet.php?caresheetID=98

Tank size is omitted but I think this may just be an error.
