thought i would share with you some of my amphibs... #1
i have 4 firebelly toads and 1 pacman frog...

they were all rescues, i have a passion for tank building and the whole environmental enrichment thing so i was buidling a semi aqautic FBT tank for a long time and it actually made a nice room feature for 1 year even empty of pets! then i got a call about some firebellies and said i would take them in... when i got there i was greeted with firebellies AND PACMAN! not part of the deal but hey - so off i trundle home with 5 frogs instead of 4 and 1 species i hadnt planned for...

heres some pics:

the day i bought them home (blurry but cute pic)

this is there tank lit up by night (it was dinner time) alas its a little blurry but gives you an idea

i should really take a better one of it by day and from above so you can see it all...

i built it from scratch so it has function in mind! the front sliding doors are held in alignment to slide by the runners attached to roof, for cleaning the roof can be lifted slightly doors removed and then entire roof removed giving you full and easy access. the water is cycled through a small tunnel under the land mass and collected in a hidden reserve before being pumped up by the fountain, it is then trickled via stream across the lower land mass and then rejoins the main body of water. there is also an upper tier of land mass - these frogs are good climbers so there are stone mushrooms, plenty of plants and twigs to climb to get there. the frogs really love it - the good part is that a whole section of the back is totally hidden in vine type plants so you cant hardly see them unless you move it all away - good for them they got privacy but it can make it look like an empty tank!

oh PS. the frogs are called: philbert, ferdinand, fred and perri (as in the sauce from nandos LMAO)

and this is dumpling the pacman...

for some strange reason i cant find any pics of his tank i made! hmmm must rectify that! his tank is an elongated oxygon i made with top sliding doors only. these frogs dont so much hop, or move much either come to think of it - but they eat! although mine is a fussy eater!

since i dont have pics of his tank this is of him as a liccle baby in an old tank (they didnt realise he would grow!)

The rat house I used to have was really something. Looked ugly as hell but was a bit of a palace for them.
Started out as a 70gal tank with glass shelves etc that I bought but added 2 more tanks a parrot cage, a large budgie cage a wine rack, pvc tunnels and wire mesh.
It got to the point that you couldn't find the rats (Coco & Horlicks). At play time you just had to open the doors and wait for them to come out to see you.
