waterfall and feeding #1
Hi Again

Just another couple of questions for the experts.

1) Do you recommend turning a pond waterfall/Pump off in the colder winter months?

2) Reading previous threads, you mention feeding fish in the winter, i was lead to believe that you do not feed at certain water temps. Do you recommend feeding them, but use a wheatgerm feed?

Many Thanks

Re: waterfall and feeding #2
Hi Jason

Welcome to the site.

1) Waterfalls should be turned off, however pumps feeding a filter system are best left on, but if you can raise the pump off the bottom, as this allows the tempereature at bottom to be much more stable and slighty warmer.

2) If temperatues are ok (which depends on the food) and the fish are a little active then yes you should feed them, only a little but it does help to stop any body weight loss and helps them "tick by" over winter.
