can any one advise as to whether it is practical to put water irises in buckets around the pond rather than in the pond.

i need to re net the whole pond as a heron has located my pond and the irises are in the way of the frame i made

suggestions please oh men of fish (oh and ladies as well)

Hello! My irises are all in pots on a shelf around the edge of the pond rather than in the pond. It makes them easier to move. Do you know what kind of irises they are? Some prefer to be in the water and some just like being a bit damp. If they were sold as marginal plants then they probably need to be in the water. You could always make a little bog garden.
