Going away with congo frogs (ADFs) #1
I am going away for a week, and have a tank of 1 danio, 4 platys, 4 neon tetras, and two congo frogs. The trouble is, i have nobody to feed them, and i was wondering if i could put one of the dissolving blocks in, and if they would eat it. The frogs are not very quick witted, and the other fish often eat the food before the frogs have a chance. Any tips on what to do whilst i am away?

Dissolving blocks aren't that great, I would recommend a decent auto-feeder like this one- LINK

Try putting a mix of flakes and sinking pellets in, then the frogs will have a better chance of getting some food.

I fancy that eheim one.

I have got a little one for my betta fish which is great for any tank with a flat lid with a feeding aperture, it is the fish mate on this page:

I bought the larger fish mate one, it's crap. I'm lucky my fish didn't starve while I was away, it got stuck after 2 days and the poor things didn't get any food for nearly 2 weeks lucky for them the tank was heavily planted with tasty hygrophilia . I've got a couple of the eheim ones and they've never let me down although they don't give you proper instructions on how to program it you have to google for them.

AArgh why did it stick? I have seen big ones with various devices, either heating or air pump to make sure food doesn't clog but it's always a worry ... at least the goldfish are always ok with plants, not sure that betta would eat them even if desperate?
