Reptile advice to trust. #1
Well, you dont have to take my word for it on good retile keeping, and I would encourage anyone with a pet reptile or anyone inteding to get one have some good reading material, and to keep reading extensively.

Of course in the days of the net , and with petstores loaded with books that are too basic, and store owners everywhere spouting, to put it bluntly, the usual shite, heres my pick of the crop for you, so youll be getting some quality information intended for begeinners and intermediates, nicely avoiding what can only be described as some really poor, even life threatening animal care advice.

The AFH publishes some great stuff, in particular Phillipe de vosjoli, chubby french chap, probably the author I respect most of all for having written most of the care information that got me off to a successful start. Heres a selection of his books.

Sean mckeown , god of day geckos and chameleons.

R.D Bartlett, and Patricia Bartlett.

Brian Pursall, good little tortoise guide

And for web souces , particularly for green iguanas, well, you aint gonna do better than the legendary Melissa Kaplan. Probably nowhere on the net is there more dietary information for herbivorous reptiles.

she has of course published.

Excellent chrimbo gifts for budding herpers , much better than getting the animals themselves in fact. Read the books , and you'll see what I mean!
