1. i have a sturgeon in my pond and i know you have to feed the koi and goldys wheatgerm pellets but hsould i still keep feeding the sturgeon his high protein sinking pellets or will it be bad for the fish??
2. also is it better to have sinking wheatgerm pellets or floating ones as they dont seem to be surfacing for the floating ones
thanks in advance
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing!!!
This is one the problems in a mixed pond with sturgeon.
As the Sturgeon still need the high protein fish however the carp dont want it or it can cause big problems. What you are best of doing is use a pipe and put it to the bottom of the pond (take care not to damage the liner/G4 etc.) but put the sinking food in the end of the pipe and it will protect it from the carp nailing it while its sinking and try to do it in front of sturgeon and only feed a small amount so just enough for the one sturgeon your feeding.
For the other fish, ive always thought that floating is best as if the fish aint taking it and arnt looking for food then they dont want food. At least with floating if they dont take it its easly removed.
