Who'll be friends with my Angelfish?! #1
Hi, I'm returning to the site after an extended absence and hope someone can give me some helpful advice.

I have a 180litre tank which currently contains 2 blue loaches, 3 clown loaches and an Angelfish. The last of my tetras (which "grew up" with the Angelfish and got along fine) died recently so I'm looking for some mid-top level, shoaling inhabitants which obviously won't get eaten or frightened to death by the other large fish in the tank. I believe larger tetras such as congos are ok, or even mollies. I am obviously loathe to buy any small fish which may re-ignite the Angelfish's predatory instincts! The tank is "over filtered" with both internal and Fluval 205 filters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

Honey gouramis would be a good choice.
Central Americans; once they pop they don't stop!

Hiya

I quite like the sound of Congo tetra or perhaps Denison's barbs might work. Rainbow fish also make a stunning addition to a tank and should get on with your fish...I stress "should"

They both should be active & shoaling as well as being too big to be lunch!

Good Luck
