Name this fish.. as seen in the sea off Corsica #1
Anyone know the name of this fish? There were lots of them near the shore in Corsica last week. About 10 inches long, blueish colour with a black dot on the tail.

Here's a video of me chasing round after them..

Oblada melanura looks like it might be right. Did have a couple of fish meals over there but not really sure what they were as it was all in French!

Corsica is really nice. We sailed round the north a couple of years ago. The landscape was more rugged and striking and the food was more traditional. The south is prettier (nice beaches) and the food more fancy I suppose. Bonifacio on the south is one of the most amazing places I've seen. Has to be seen by boat really.

Photos don't really do it justice.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonifacio

Yup, should be, fishbase lists it as a french native, corsica basically sharing french waters, namely the liguarian sea. Its a very widespread fish throughout the med, africa etc.
