white slug id please #1
found a couple of the critters recently in the tank.

anyone know what they are or if they are good or bad?

It looks very similar to the nudibranch (Tritoniopsis Elegans), if it is one it will be eating any soft corals you may have. Will leave you a link

whatever you do, remove it carefully, the ones that eat soft corals are highly toxic and you'll end up very sick or in hospital if you try to do something like squish it.

I dont think all nudibranch's eat coral though.

Most species of nudibranch rely on sponges and are hard to supply which is why most don't last in captivity, they are best left in the wild and are toxic even thought some have the most beautiful colourful body. you do see them for sale often again it money they are after and see what they say u can feed them on I assure u they would'nt have a clue but say they feed on algae which is not true.

i've seen photos of them consuming algae, before and after shots of i believe red slime or something. I think there are a wide variety of these things that feed on all sorts of stuff. I've seen one in my tank several times. during the night i can sometimes find it on the glass. I have no idea what it eats but my corals are all undamaged so it must not be eating those.
