Re: OH NO, Mantis Shrimp at large #23
awwww he's just a baby.

at 1" long you a pretty safe he cant hurt you too much, I hope he's in good health, on his back like that I worry.

as he grows, it will become a lovely shrimp, but needs, special care.

is he eating?

he needs a home and quick! like previously said, they are rare in the UK, you are lucky in a weird way.

i personally think you are sooo lucky to get one.

Coralline, get this shrimp to you asap, start a blog!!!

Re: OH NO, Mantis Shrimp at large #24
He tends to roll up into a ball when he hasn't got any rock to climb on, I think he's eating coz put him some mysis shrimp in and they've gone.

worrying thing is I'm not sure that it's the only 1 in the tank, as when I first spotted 1 it was a bit bigger with different coloured eyes. God I hope I just dreamed it!

The rocks been in exactly 2 weeks today, when I catch him (and I will catch him) will I have to keep him separate from "Nelson" or will they kill each other?
