Re: Female Platy not eating and swimming aimlessly #11
That's good news as Prime is recommended by Esha as one of the few that don't affect meds. Good luck.

Re: Female Platy not eating and swimming aimlessly #12
Thanks so much for your help, I've also removed the carbon pad from the filter, assuming this would have prevented the treatment from working properly.

Managed to get my snails into a separate 12L tank - just old tank water no filter or anything - shouldn't be an issue right? Have put a moss ball and the carbon pad into this tank too.

Have put the esha2000 in the water, nice green tinge to it now!

Will keep you updated.

The snails should be OK in there, but don't feed them as feeding will increase their waste output/ammonia. You were right to remove the carbon.

Re: Female Platy not eating and swimming aimlessly #14
I had to go with euthanasia, she is currently sitting in a bowl now.

Think I left it too late to treat

Thanks for your advice though, how soon from now can I put the snails back in the tank?
I've still to dose for today - just as well completing the treatment for the others!

Thanks,
Chris

Sorry she's not made it

24 hours after treatment ends, do a 50% water change. Do another a day later then put the carbon in the filter and wait a further 24 hours before attempting to reintroduce the snails. I'd be tempted to just try one or two and if they're ok add the rest later.

Thanks.

I'll just wait until Sunday for my regular weekly water change before adding the snails back in!
