Dude, if a pic is impossible (and I would say almost as I photographed Whirlygig for LHG's perusal recently!) could you do some Googling and find a pic of the thing then post a link to that?
There is a good chance LHG can help with description alone or with a description/google image combo.

when you say a mixture of the two. do you mean 5ml of each or 2.5ml of each?

Nathan

found one in the exact position but mine is slightly more protruding.

Wound seem to healing up a bit now after day one with pimafix! I am surprised compared with melafix which doesn't seem to have the desired effect I wanted.

is pimafix more potent then melafix?

finger crossed!

thanks... just made an observation this afternoon... the sick fish is doing ok but every time it's stop swimming about to relax, the tail end go up ward and the poor fish is having to swim again to correct his balance. I wonder if his energy will run out at some point...

wound is looking better by the hour which is puzzling....

That's an interesting article Cathie, makes me wonder why we use it IF it's not a sure fire remedy???

it is eating fine and really go for the food as much as others do.

As for pooing.... I rarely seen any of them poo since they are really small...., not like a goldfish that trail off!!

no changes... but how long to keep going with pimafix? I am on second day now...

Well remember that article was in the context of a marine system. I think the point is in freshwater which is adequately oxygenated, they are not harmful, so nothing lost by trying them first so long as the fish's condition doesn't look like something that obviously needs something more heavy duty, or we don't keep going with them for too long if fish is deteriorating or not getting better.
