Apple snail information #1
Hi all,

I was "googling" the term Apple snail to find out some more information about my current snail when I came across this site: http://www.applesnail.net
It was set up by a Belgian chap called Stijn who seems to have done his homework and produced a very informative website. If anyone is interested in finding out more about their Apple snail (ie, care, species, breeding, deceases, etc) I strongly suggest you have a look at this site.

All the best!

Dan

err yes they are probably dead, there is nothing like the smell of a dead apple snail rotting - physically makes you sick also floating is also a sign

is there any treatments in your tank by any chance?? i killed mine with esha

Did anybody catch Bill Oddie last night on about American Wildlife? They have a Snailhawk over there that feeds pretty much exclusively on Apple Snails in the Florida everglades... There were LOTS of empty snail shells!

Re: Apple snail information #10
think i have a cluster of eggs am not sure, everything ive read says that they lay their eggs above the water line but mine are attached to a plant about 2" below the water line. looks like a white lump with thousands of clear bubbles in it. its in my second tank which only has my frog and 5 apple snails in it all my fish are in the primary tank and i have a treatment tank just in case so no fish will be going into that tank, but not sure what to do for the best if it is a cluster of eggs. should i leave it where it is or maybe move it to a small treatment tank i have set up.
any advice anyone?
