Re: Unknown polyps #11
At the aquatics shop it was more out than the pictures above, i took these after it had been in my tank for about 2 hours. After i took it out from the bag it had somewhat receeded into itself. There wasnt anything coming out from the bottom of the coral to begin with, i'm hoping that there might be though.

Those pictures don't show off the color too well, i daren't use flash incase i shock the fish. It is a carmine/chestnut colour with light tips. One side of the coral is distinctly yellow compared to the opposite which is white with hints at a faint yellow on the edges.

And there are two spots of pink at the base of the coral.

Re: Unknown polyps #14
during the day when the aquarium lights are on the tentacles overflow with some reaching about an inch and a half in length. When i turn off the lights the tentacles receed to almost nothing, not even 1cm... just stumps undisturbed by the water movements.

My question is does this harm it? Should i be keeping the lights on longer & how do i keep it healthy?

Re: Unknown polyps #15
Look slike some sort of hammer or torch coral or a similar lps!

Ive got a hammer coral in my tank. I keep my lights on for 12 hours and squirt some brine and mysis onto the tenticles every now and then
