I am thinking of getting some of these at least 2 or 3
are they best kept in groups, if so how many.

Rams are usually best if kept as a male and a few females. The females will require a territory of around 1 cubic foot to feel at home, so if you have a standard 2 foot tank, one male and two females will be fine, one male and three females for a three foot tank etc., etc....
The male will patrol his females' territories, and they will keep themselves apart with the odd border dispute to spice things up - very entertaining!

Are they agressive with other fish, easy to breed, I am getting a new tank next month, i think its about 4 ft I dont know whether to get 2 or 3 females then. Also gonna get some red phantam tetras.

They are peaceful fish, like most dwarf cichlids. Either two or three females will do fine in a 4' tank, it's up to you. Red phantoms are a very good choice to go with Rams - both species require the same water/tank conditions (remember to keep the Nitrate levels very low to keep them happy) and look stunning together.

Thanks marc, what about my endlers, will they be ok together.

There's a bit of a discrepancy with ideal water conditions, as Endler's livebearers come from a lake in Venezuela with hard, brackish water, and both the Ram and the Red Phantom are soft water species. Having said that, as long as you have individuals which have been captive bred in similar conditions to each other, they should adapt to a neutral (pH 7), medium-hard (General Hardness around 7-10 degrees) tank ok, as this will be an acceptable "middle ground" for all.
