damaged fin on a fan tail #1
I discovered a piece of my fantails fin when cleaning the tank this week. he looks as if he's caught the tail up in one of the artificial plants, rather than fin rot, as the tail does look 'raggy' any advice?

add melafix, follow the dosage on the bottle for damaged fins.

Hello lisahorth welcome to fishkeeping You could give the melafix a try as fishyfeet suggested but the fin should grow back in time ok on its own.

Also salt baths, remove a gallon of water from your tank into a bucket, disolve the salt( see pack for dosage, only use aquarium salt) add fish for 10 or 15 mins, daily then twice a week, also add melafix to the aquarium, is the fish any better, take a while to grow back. Di
