hi after reading this thread i agree with goldy, i understand you love your fish but i dont think their home is suitable for them long term. Its not deep enough and it needs filtration. I have a similar tank to you , i keep it for ill fish, last summer 2 fish died in mine over night due to oxygen leval's,and i have a small filter.. i was gutted. I dont want the same happening to you

People are not getting on your back, you came on here for advice and you get upset when people give it ... The advice you got was correct even if its not what you want to here.

My fish are my babies and iv spent £1000's last summer alone creating ahome for them , and im about to spend more.

If fish are dying in your mums pond something is wrong, try sorting it out then adding your fish .. your local water center should give you free water testing and free advice.

Good luck, and hope your fish grow big and healthy for you any chance you can get your mum to join and sort out her pond, or you can if you are up to it as then you will have the satisfaction of knowing you saved any remaining fish in there

yer thats a good point try getting your mum to help clear out the pond, you may be shocked to find some fish lurking below.

My nan and grandad drained their pond that hadent been toutched for 3 years and found 4 goldfish and a tench at the bottom. Dont know how they even got in there let alone survived as my grandad only used to keep koi, due to an infection lost them all and left the pond for 3 years before sorting it out.
