how do you feed frozen food #1
I've always thawed frozen food in hot water before feeding. Had a strange thought that mabe the frozen block could be dropped in the tank and I've been doing all wrong all this time?

how do you use your frozen fish food?

Leave it to defrost at room temperature and then feed it to the fish

Spose it depends on what you are feeding and what fish you are feeding it to.

I bought some frozen bloodworm last week for the first time and just let it thaw in the cup i use to soak dry food then droped a bit in the tank at a time. I find th efish i have like a midwater food so eat it as it falls and dont seem to feed in the gravel so prefer not to let it get there before its eaten.

no problem either way-dropped in is fine as it usualy floats around the tank and drops off as it goes along-if you say put it in a cup to melt USE TANK WATER as this is safer all around

i use a dishwaher salt dispenser cut away so it sits on top of the outlet pipe from filter-the water ciculates around and throws the melted bloodworm out into the tank

ill try and put pics up its easy to see it

take care brian

here we go then -oh well that didnt work-just call me thick-ill put the pics in photo gallery under feeder in tropical section

well turn your filter off for ten mins, so a bit of maintenace theres an idea, put a block of food in turn off filter, remove a jug full of filter water, dismatle filter and rinse out sponges, put back together filter and most of the food will be eaten or sunk in the gravel for your bottom feeders. di
