Thinking of getting some apple snails #1
I will be moving my neons and SAEs into the newly setup tropical tank in a week time, so I will be left with an empty quarantine tank (not for long )!

I have never kept snails before until Fishy-Fishy sent some MTSs to me and I find them fasinating! So I am thinking of giving Apple Snails a go!

I will appreciate any advice, tips, do's & don'ts and most important of all their colours as I have not seen them in real life Thanks!

I've got a giant stripy brown one that I got from my LFS, and 2 regular sized ones, one blue and one ivory, that I got from Snailtrail (off this site). I used to have a giant golden one too but he died I'd had him for a while.

They sound really nice, from what I read the giant apple snails do eat plants... does yours behave him/herself?

I am sorry to hear about the giant golden one, apparently their life spans are shorter in tropical tank.... I am sure he/she was well cared for...

I should PM SnailTrail whether she has got some Pink, Rose or Purple AS for sale?

Re: Thinking of getting some apple snails #8
I don't breed apple snails anymore although I still keep a few old timers as pets. I'm more into shrimp now although I still keep/breed other types of snails that require less tank space.

I do have asolene spixi (zebra apple snails) for sale so PM me if interested.

No, he does not behave himself I put him in my planted tank temporarily and it ended up looking like a horde of locusts had attacked it.
