Re: Over stocked #11
LOL

I know, and she knows, we have too many fish. Way too many fish.

The burning question is how do we legally destock it?

At a guess there are some thirty to fifty fish to get rid of.

Neither she nor I are really fish people, and so there is unlikely to be expenditure on new equipment. Therefore if the pump and filter are a bit undersized then that is how they are going to stay. To alleviate that problem the answer would seem to be, at the risk of repeating the problem, destocking.

Free fish anyone?

Phone around, there will be some places that will happly take them off you hands, even if its only some of them as i doubt very much that one place will take them all off your hands.

Contact your local Kio group they might be able to help you as well.

what about the free papers you get through your door, as you could advertise them free or any offers to new pondies wishing to stock their ponds

Re: Over stocked #14
personally i'd take out the foams, and put the rings in there and the either put the foams in the first compartment and/or fill it with japanese matting as that way you only take out the first sheet, blast it with the hose and put it at the back of the stack of matting so the second becomes first and first is last etc so they move along

also try getting rid of the big fish first, they'll do the most poop so will be the biggest load on the filter
