Blackmoor goldfish with white sports #1
I have an approx 3.5 year old Blackmoor goldfish who has developed some spots only along his fins. At first I thought it was Ich, but looking at pictures it appears to be less widespread and more bumpy and localized than Ich. He did have a cave hideout that I removed because he had grown too big for it. I was hoping that he had just bumped his fins up against the rock. It has been more than a month now and there has not been any progress.
He is not behaving any differently than usual. He is just as happy for his food and excited to swim around his tank. Each of the spots is slightly raised and looks like it might be under his slime coat. They are located on both of his front fins and one of his back fins, seems to be just on the front edge of the fin.
Pictures are blurry because he is very active (apologies for the tank glass its clean out week this weekend)

Re: Blackmoor goldfish with white sports #2
Hi

I believe these are breeding tubercles that appear on sexually mature males from time to time when they are ready to breed. They appear particularly on the leading rays of the pectoral fins and can also occur on the gill covers and on the leading rays of the pelvic fins. They will go away after a while but will probably recur, and are nothing to worry about.
