Re: Choosing a clean up crew.. #12
Just out of interest, how good as substrate cleaners ARE Corydoras ? Haven't had any since I was a teenager. Are they really doing as much work as they seem to be ? ha ha !!

Probably looking at stocking wise then:-

6 Chile Rasboras or Harlequins depending on availability.
1 Dwarf Ram
2-3 Dwarf Corydoras.

Would this be OK in the above size tank ?
Thanks

You'll need to have the temperature up around 28C to keep a ram healthy so your options for Corydoras are limited as most prefer it cooler than that. The only one I can think of that will tolerate the heat is Corydoras sterbai and like all cories a group of six is preferable. This should be possible with gradual stocking. Cories need feeding in their own right so don't rely on the leftovers from other fish as their food source.
