What is this?! #1
Hello all,

This little white egg looking things have appeared all over my bog wood. I noticed a couple a week or so ago and now there's a lot more.

Any idea what they are?!

I have a small group of cories, a few otocinculs catfish and 4 nerite snails in the tank. I was told the snails shouldn't breed.
I also have a bristle nose catfish, a discuss fish and an angel fish in there.

I've kept tropical fish for a few years and not seen this before.

I've had eggs laid before but they didn't look like this.

Hope you can help!!!

They're definitely nerite snail eggs.
They won't develop into nerite snails in a freshwater tank. My bogwood is absolutely covered in it over the 3 years that I've had a female nerite snail inhabiting the tank. :)

Do the fish eat the eggs?
Thanks

Of the 5 species I've had during the nerite snails' time (various tetras and rasboras), only the cardinal tetras showed a very brief interest in pecking any - which soon waned (and it was only those on the glass that intrigued them).
