Use of Tetra Active filter in cold (10 °c) water #1
Hey just setting up an IBC to grow some carp.
Water looks a little cloudy so bought some tetra active filter how to get the new filter working.
It's been a couple of days and the water is still cloudy - I wondering if this product is designed for warmer water? Anyone have any idea or experience?

It's generally accepted that filter bacteria function less well below 20C and can become inactive at low temperatures so I suspect that is the problem. You may want to ask Tetra directly using the form on this page:
