Help - something has appeared in my tank. Not sure what it is. #1

Please help. Dont know if it's a good thing or harmful.

If it's only on the wood it's natural and happens with new wood. The fish may eat it, or you can clean it off, but it's harmless and will eventually stop happening.

The wood is about a year old. It's also on the glass on the back of the tank.
